AceShowbiz - Noah Kahan has achieved a significant milestone as The Great Divide debuts at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart in Australia.
This marks the American singer-songwriter’s fourth studio album and his second consecutive chart-topping release in Australia, following the success of Stick Season, which dominated the ARIA charts for three weeks earlier in 2024.
Noah Kahan is set to express his gratitude to Australian fans by performing during The Great Divide Tour, which will include eight shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena scheduled for September and October.
Beyond Kahan’s success, the ARIA Chart also welcomes a notable debut from the Foo Fighters. Their latest album, Your Favorite Toy, enters the chart at No. 3. This continues the band’s impressive streak of placing all 12 studio albums within the ARIA Top 10, with eight achieving No. 1 status. This release continues their impressive run with eight consecutive Top 10 albums, including their earlier works such as Youngbloods (No. 6 in 2010), three No. 1 albums—Chasing Ghosts (2012), Let The Ocean Take Me (2014), and This Could Be The Heartbreak (2016)—plus Misery (No. 1 in 2018), Everyone Loves You...Once You Leave Them (No. 2 in 2020), and Not Without My Ghost (No. 2 in 2023).
The soundtrack for the new Michael Jackson biopic, Michael: Songs From The Motion Picture, also charts, debuting at No. 17. This marks the late pop legend’s 24th solo entry on the ARIA Top 50, with his chart history dating back to 1973’s Music And Me. His other No. 1 albums include iconic titles such as Off The Wall (1979), Thriller (1983), Dangerous (1991), HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I (1995), Invincible (2001), and The Essential Michael Jackson (2005).

(No. 22), Ruby Fields’ Small Achievements (No. 29), Nessa Barrett’s Jesus Loves a Primadonna (No. 41), and Pink Floyd’s Live From The Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975 (No. 43).
On the ARIA Singles Chart front, Olivia Dean and Sam Fender’s collaboration, "Rein Me In," holds its position at No. 1 for a third non-consecutive week. It is closely followed by Dean’s previous hit, "Man I Need," which remains at No. 2. Ella Langley’s "Choosin’ Texas" continues to climb, reaching a new peak position of No. 3, up from No. 8.
