According to TMZ, Lexie Brown knows Klay Thompson professionally through basketball but they are not close, and she has never met Megan Thee Stallion. The controversy intensified after Thompson unfollowed Brown on social media and she subsequently made her account private, leading to widespread speculation and false assumptions.
Brown took to Instagram Stories to reject any involvement in the alleged drama, but the internet's narrative had already formed. She expressed feelings of isolation as she remains the sole voice defending her reputation.
"The fact that I'm still the only one defending my name, I have no idea how to process that," she shared, highlighting the loneliness of the ordeal.
While preparing for the upcoming WNBA season—following her trade from the LA Sparks to the Seattle Storm and averaging 9.5 minutes per game last year—Brown is managing this intense personal stress.
What frustrates her most is the silence from those who know the truth. "Surely somebody that knows the truth, and that is almost everybody involved knows that I was not involved in the situation at all, would surely step in and say something, and it didn't happen," she explained.
She also voiced concerns about the broader issue of protecting Black women, noting that despite widespread calls for support, her name has not been included in these conversations.
"And that's the last thing I'm struggling to process, is that there's this massive outcry for protecting Black women and nobody has mentioned Lexie Brown's name in any of those conversations," she said.
In addition to battling this public harassment, Brown is also managing Crohn’s disease while focusing on her basketball career. She hopes that as the season progresses, people will come to understand that she was never involved in any controversy.
