AceShowbiz - PK Kemsley has spoken candidly about the dissolution of his marriage to Dorit Kemsley and the influence that reality TV may have had on their relationship.
During a recent episode of the We Need to Talk podcast with Paul C. Brunson, PK shared insights on how life shifted after they both joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He emphasized that while he does not blame the show entirely for their split, he wrestles with whether Dorit was always destined to follow her current path or if he played a part in introducing her to that world.
PK reminisced about happier times before the series began, recalling their life in New York. “If you talk about happy times, I remember living in Tribeca, we had a beautiful apartment, and then we had the baby, and life was pretty f-king good,” he said, highlighting the contrast with their later experiences.
He also acknowledged that joining the reality show was primarily his initiative after they relocated to Los Angeles. “Who drove the bus into the wall? Me,” PK admitted, taking responsibility for their entrance into that environment.
PK further explained how reality TV can distort actual events and create narratives that participants begin to accept as truth. He described a moment where he looked at his wife and questioned, “Who are you?” expressing the unsettling nature of how the show affected their relationship.
The former couple announced their separation in 2024, with Dorit filing for divorce in 2025. Together, they share two children. For the sake of their family, PK has refrained from engaging in public disputes regarding the divorce.
“I do not want to litigate my divorce publicly,” he said, underscoring that the children are the real victims in the situation.
