After nearly ten years in development, 2000 AD has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the film, directed and written by Duncan Jones. The footage introduces audiences to the titular soldier, played by Aneurin Barnard, as he navigates a perilous battlefield and executes a dramatic skydive to escape danger.

The trailer also features Reece Shearsmith as Bagman, depicted in his distinctive rucksack form, struggling across the terrain. The teaser closes with the phrase “Coming soon-ish,” hinting at an imminent release though no exact date has been confirmed yet.

Based on the original comic strip by Gerry Finley-Day and Dave Gibbons, Rogue Trooper tells the story of a lone surviving soldier on a war-torn planet named Nu Earth. The project was revived in 2024 with the announcement of the lead cast and Duncan Jones as writer-director.
