AceShowbiz - Offset, former member of the group Migos, has issued his first public message following a shooting incident at a Florida casino earlier this week. On Instagram, he expressed gratitude to those who reached out to him, stating, "Thank you to everyone who's checked in on me and showed me love." He reassured fans that he is doing well and intends to improve further, emphasizing his focus on family, recovery, and returning to music.
Offset reflected on the unpredictability of life, describing it as a combination of “quiet wins and loud losses” and likening it to a gamble he is still determined to win. This marks the rapper’s first communication since the incident at the casino.
A representative confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Offset has been discharged from the hospital and is mobile. Earlier photos showed him in a hospital courtyard wearing a surgical gown, using a mobility aid, and smoking.
The shooting has also led to the arrest of rapper Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt. Authorities charged Merritt with disorderly conduct in relation to the event. This incident is notably the second shooting involving a Migos member, following the fatal shooting of Takeoff in 2022 at a Houston bowling alley.
The community and fans remain attentive to Offset’s recovery and future plans as he continues to heal from the incident.
