The 24-year-old artist, who departed from the now six-member group last month, unveiled his rebranding on Wednesday, April 8, signaling the beginning of his solo era.

Announced through a press release by his label BELIFT LAB, the transformation into EVAN includes a revamped visual concept and a new solo Instagram account. The account showcases a series of intimate close-up images focusing on his eyes, face, and hands. These visuals culminate in a short video clip that presents him with a natural, fresh-faced appearance, notably free from the heavy makeup and gloss commonly associated with K-pop aesthetics.

The label described these new images as capturing “the purest form of EVAN – an artist at the very beginning of his identity, before any external definition is applied.” They further emphasized that the minimalist styling and subtle makeup choices highlight the raw and understated charisma of EVAN in his most authentic state.
