AceShowbiz - Offset is currently embroiled in a legal and personal crisis fueled by mounting gambling debts that have led to serious consequences.
The former Migos rapper is now facing a $100,000 lawsuit filed by The MotorCity Casino Hotel over an unpaid gambling tab. This legal action adds to the growing turmoil surrounding Offset's financial troubles.
On Monday, April 6, Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Authorities report that the shooting stemmed from a $10,000 gambling debt owed to rapper Lil Tjay dating back to January 2025. The incident occurred after a confrontation in the valet area.
Lil Tjay was arrested for disorderly conduct following the altercation but was released on a $500 bond. Upon release, he publicly denied involvement in the shooting but expressed anger toward Offset, calling him a “rat” and signaling that the dispute is far from over.
Offset remains in stable condition with injuries described as non-life-threatening. However, the damage to his reputation and financial standing appears significant.
Complicating matters, Offset’s gambling issues extend beyond Lil Tjay. Former NFL player Dez Bryant revealed that Offset owes him $8,000 and reportedly called just three hours before the shooting to ask for more money.
Additionally, model and influencer Celina Powell has come forward, accusing Offset of manipulating her for money to fuel his gambling habits. Another individual, Ebo Darden, has also publicly stated that Offset owes him money.
These multiple claims point to a troubling pattern rather than isolated incidents. Offset’s gambling addiction appears to be spiraling out of control, involving debts owed to various rappers, athletes, and influencers alike.
This situation serves as a stark example of how unchecked gambling, combined with access to substantial resources and lack of accountability, can lead to severe personal and legal consequences.
Despite having the means to seek help, Offset continues to accumulate debts and face escalating legal challenges, including six-figure lawsuits that threaten his financial stability and public image.
