AceShowbiz - Bravo is set to launch the highly anticipated Summer House spinoff, In The City, immediately following the season 10 finale of Summer House on May 19. The new series will debut at 9 p.m., right after the finale airs at 8 p.m., offering fans a seamless transition between the two shows.
The first season of In The City will prominently feature key Summer House cast members Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cooke, and Amanda Batula, who are eager to showcase their lives beyond the beach house setting. This spinoff has been in development for some time, but its launch now comes amidst significant drama involving the main cast, particularly surrounding Batula and fellow cast member West Wilson, who recently confirmed their romantic relationship.
The teaser trailer for In The City largely focuses on the unraveling of Batula and Cooke's marriage, with the couple addressing their separation and forthcoming divorce. Although Wilson is not listed among the official cast members, the preview confirms he will make appearances during the first season.
Alongside Hubbard, Cooke, and Batula, the cast will include other familiar faces such as Danielle Olivera, Eoin Heavey, Andrea Denver, Lexi Sundin, Nick Barber, Yvonne Najor, Georgina Ferzil, Whitney Fransway (noted for her appearance on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor), Kenny Martin, Gavin Moseley, and Katie Arundel.
Rumors had been swirling since March regarding Batula and Wilson's relationship, which they publicly confirmed with a joint statement on March 31. Batula and Cooke had revealed their separation earlier in January, but the real controversy arose because Batula had been a close friend of Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson.
Unlike Wilson, Miller does not appear to be part of the In The City cast, as indicated by the show's teasers.
Addressing the situation, Batula and Wilson stated, "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."
Their statement continued, "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care. As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this."
West Wilson joined Summer House in its eighth season, which began airing in 2024. During this season, he formed a relationship with Ciara Miller, dating her through the end of that year. However, at the season eight reunion, the pair announced their breakup, with Miller revealing that Wilson had expressed reluctance to commit to a serious relationship due to "show related reasons."
The ninth season of Summer House showed Wilson and Miller in a strained relationship. Season 10, currently airing after its February premiere, continues to explore their complicated dynamic. In episode seven, Miller admitted, "It's very clear that we both miss each other," and described their situation as a "weird state of like, limbo," with emotions coming out in a "disorganized and a bit crazy" manner.
In The City is produced by Truly Original, a Banijay Americas company. The executive producing team includes Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Lauren Eskelin, Jamie Jakimo, Lori Gordon, Tamara Najm Coudurier, and Faith Gaskins.
With the new spinoff premiering directly after the Summer House season 10 finale, fans will have an immediate opportunity to dive deeper into the evolving personal lives and relationships of their favorite cast members, especially as the aftermath of recent scandals unfolds on screen.
