Ann Marie Licata named CEO of iHeartMedia's multiplatform group, overseeing 860+ radio stations, live events, networks, and data products.

AceShowbiz - Ann Marie Licata has been appointed CEO of iHeartMedia’s multiplatform group, the company's largest operating division. This segment encompasses several vital business units, including the local broadcast radio stations, live events, sponsorship, radio networks, enterprise business development, and data targeting products for broadcast radio.

The multiplatform group specifically includes the iHeartMedia markets group, which manages over 860 local radio stations nationwide. It also covers the company’s live events and sponsorship initiatives, the radio networks businesses such as Premiere Networks and TTWN, the enterprise business development team, and the data-driven targeting and attribution products designed for broadcast radio. Licata had previously led the markets group and sales operations at iHeart.

Under the new structure, Julie Donohue, president of the enterprise development group, and Julie Talbott, president of Premiere Networks, will report directly to Licata. This reorganization aims to streamline leadership and enhance growth across these key areas.

Alongside Licata’s promotion, Bernie Weiss has been elevated to president of the markets group, overseeing the operations of iHeart’s 160 individual markets. Weiss previously held the role of chief operating officer of the markets group, positioning him well for this expanded responsibility.

“We couldn't be more pleased that Ann Marie will be leading the growth and innovation efforts for our company's largest segment,” said Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia. He highlighted the multiplatform group’s importance in expanding new businesses such as podcasting and the iHeartRadio digital service, as well as supporting iconic live music events and awards shows. Pittman emphasized the company’s goal to further integrate broadcast radio into the digital buying ecosystem through enhanced data services and programmatic platforms.

Rich Bressler, president and COO of iHeartMedia, also commented on the move, noting the company’s diversified business structure with the multiplatform group, digital audio group, and audio and media services group. He expressed confidence in Licata’s leadership during this critical phase for iHeartMedia.

Separately, iHeartMedia announced the appointment of Jamie Cutburth as executive vice president of marketing. He will report to chief business officer Lisa Coffey. Cutburth brings extensive marketing and brand partnership experience from his previous role as executive vice president of marketing and brand partnerships at NBCUniversal.

During his tenure at NBCUniversal, Cutburth led business-to-business marketing and advertiser strategy across multiple brands, including NBC, Bravo, E!, Peacock, NBC News, and Telemundo. His expertise is expected to bolster iHeartMedia's marketing initiatives as the company continues to expand its multiplatform presence.

Coffey praised Cutburth’s ability to deliver impactful marketing strategies that drive growth and create meaningful audience experiences. “Jamie swings big, experiences that inspire action, drive growth and leave lasting impressions on the audience,” she said, welcoming him to the team.

Cutburth expressed enthusiasm about joining iHeartMedia, highlighting the intersection of brand, revenue, content, and culture in his new role. He stated that his focus will be to ensure iHeart presents a clear and compelling story in the marketplace while driving innovation and growth.

These leadership changes underscore iHeartMedia’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its core businesses and accelerating innovation across its multiplatform operations. With seasoned executives like Licata, Weiss, and Cutburth at the helm of key divisions, the company aims to navigate the evolving media landscape effectively.
