In the candid conversation, James McAvoy reflected on fatherhood, comparing his experiences with his two children. His older son, Brendon, was born in 2010 from his previous marriage to Anne-Marie Duff. At the time of his second child’s birth, James McAvoy was 42 years old, and he noted that parenting at this age brought a different perspective and approach.

"I worry less," he explained. "I'm a bit more philosophical." However, he also acknowledged that parenting later in life comes with its own challenges. "But it's also harder because you're just older and tireder," he added, sharing the honest realities of balancing family life and personal energy.

Although James McAvoy confirmed their marriage publicly in 2022, he has maintained a guarded approach to sharing details about his private life. During a 2017 interview with Mr. Porter, he emphasized his preference for privacy, especially following his separation from Anne-Marie Duff.

"My life has changed massively," he stated, "At the same time so much has stayed the same. One of the things that's stayed the same is that I still don't talk about my personal life, really."
