AceShowbiz - Promoters have started issuing refunds to fans of Wu-Tang Clan after four members failed to appear at their Australian concerts.
Advertised as the "Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber" farewell tour, the shows promised performances by all surviving members of the group. However, on March 25 in Brisbane—the first of three Australian tour dates—Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna, and Young Dirty Bastard (son of the late Ol' Dirty Bastard) were notably absent, leaving many attendees confused and disappointed.
According to The Music Network, the official promoter, Ticketek, has been compelled to offer refunds to ticket holders due to these absences. While Wu-Tang Clan addressed Method Man's absence through an Instagram story announcement, no explanation was provided regarding the other three missing members.
Following the Brisbane show and prior to the remaining concerts in Melbourne on March 27 and Sydney on March 28, Ticketek released a statement informing fans of further absences.
"We want to make fans aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, a couple of members will be unable to join the remaining tour dates in Melbourne and Sydney," the statement read. "Wu-Tang Clan will be performing and bringing everything that has made them one of the most iconic live acts in hip-hop history."
The incident has stirred frustration among fans expecting a full lineup on what was promoted as a farewell tour. Despite the missing members, the group confirmed they will continue performing for the remainder of the Australian shows.
