In recent court documents, the estate criticized Paris Jackson and her legal representatives for what it described as a "complete lack of understanding about how the motion picture industry works and the role of producers in it."
On the other side, Jackson has expressed serious concerns regarding the film’s production and the estate’s broader financial strategies. Her lawyers claim that the estate’s executors have "invested in highly speculative and risky entertainment projects," raising questions about their management approach.
The estate, managed by John Branca and John McClain, strongly rejected these accusations, stating, "No payment made by this Estate, in its 16 year history, has been disallowed." They emphasized their "meticulous and conscientious" stewardship of the estate’s assets.
