David Chokachi returns as Cody Madison in Fox’s Baywatch reboot, now running The Shoreline and mentoring new lifeguards with iconic rescues and free wings.

AceShowbiz - Baywatch fans have exciting news as the reboot adds a familiar face from the original series. David Chokachi, who portrayed lifeguard Cody Madison in the classic show, is set to reprise his role in Fox’s upcoming revival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In this new iteration, Cody Madison has transitioned from lifeguard duties to running The Shoreline, the beloved Baywatch bar-and-grill. While he’s mostly behind the counter now, he still dons the iconic red trunks for occasional rescue shifts. The character serves as a mentor and friend to the current lifeguards, offering support and, notably, free wings after a successful save.
Chokachi joins a cast that already features Stephen Amell, recently announced to play Hobie Buchannon, the son of Mitch Buchannon, originally played by David Hasselhoff. Fox secured a 12-episode order for the series in September, with Matt Nix of Burn Notice fame acting as showrunner.
David Chokachi became a key member of the original Baywatch cast starting in season six, remaining a regular for four seasons. His television career also includes roles in Witchblade and Beyond the Break.
In other casting developments, Damon Wayans Jr. has signed on for NBC’s drama pilot Puzzled. He will portray Mike Brink, a professional sports gambler who gains extraordinary puzzle-solving, mathematical, and pattern recognition abilities due to Acquired Savant Syndrome following a brain injury.
Mckenna Grace is set to play Daphne in Netflix’s upcoming live-action Scooby-Doo series, a fresh take exploring how the Mystery Inc. team originally came together.
Reality TV fans will see Dorinda Medley join E!’s The Golden Life, alongside fellow Real Housewives of New York City stars Kelly Bensimon, Countess Luann De Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer. Medley replaces Jill Zarin, who was recently fired following a controversy.
Apple TV’s golf comedy Stick has promoted Timothy Olyphant and Judy Greer to series regulars for its second season, while Tèa Leoni will lead NBC’s comedy pilot Newlyweds as a free-spirited woman who impulsively marries a reserved professor.
