AceShowbiz - Don Broco and Nickelback have collaborated on a powerful new single titled Nightmare Tripping, which also serves as the lead track for Don Broco's upcoming album of the same name.
This release marks an exciting moment for fans as Don Broco continues to evolve their sound following a series of recent singles including the nu-metal infused “Cellophane,” the electrifying “Hype Man,” the emotionally charged “Disappear,” and the dance-ready “Euphoria.” The collaboration with rock legends Nickelback adds a fresh, intense edge to the band’s dynamic style.
Nightmare Tripping is defined by its heavy guitar riffs, driving drums, and sharp vocal interplay. Don Broco’s Rob Damiani and Matt Donnelly share vocal duties with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, seamlessly transitioning between powerful screams and soaring melodic choruses that create a gripping sonic experience.
The single is accompanied by a visually striking music video directed by Gordy De St. Jeor. The video adopts a cinematic film-noir aesthetic and was filmed in a haunting, burnt-out Los Angeles house, adding to the song’s dark, dreamlike themes.
Don Broco explained the concept behind the track: “‘Nightmare Tripping’ explores the uncertainty between dreams and reality, where the paralysis demon forces you to confront the fears you try to escape in sleep, blurring the lines of consciousness.” They added that working with Nickelback was “a dream come true,” praising Chad Kroeger and Ryan Vikedal for their collaboration and highlighting the unforgettable experience of filming the video.
All the recent singles, including Nightmare Tripping, will appear on Don Broco’s forthcoming full-length album, set to release on March 27 via Fearless Records. The album is now available for pre-order.
Looking ahead, Don Broco will perform at major summer festivals such as Rock IM Ring and Rock For People in June, followed by a London show at Finsbury Park in July where they will support Biffy Clyro. Tickets are available online.
The band’s previous album, Amazing Things, was released in 2021 and marked a career milestone by becoming their first LP to reach Number One on the charts shortly after its physical release.
Don Broco and Nickelback’s collaboration on Nightmare Tripping is a bold fusion of styles that promises to energize fans and expand the reach of both bands as they prepare for a busy year ahead.
