AceShowbiz - Brent Faiyaz has made a triumphant return to the music scene. On Tuesday, February 3, he revealed that his eagerly awaited third studio album, Icon, is set to drop just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 13.
The album will be released under his own label, ISO Supremacy, in collaboration with UnitedMasters. This marks his first full-length project since the critically acclaimed Wasteland, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and claimed the top spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. With Grammy-winning artist Raphael Saadiq serving as the executive producer, Icon is currently available for pre-order, alongside exclusive merchandise and various physical formats of the album.
To announce his upcoming album, the Maryland native shared a cinematic trailer on his Instagram, showcasing everyday individuals in the DMV area. The trailer captures a sense of authenticity and connection. In the captions of both the YouTube video and an Instagram post featuring the album artwork, Faiyaz creatively expressed the word “icon” in 17 different languages, from English to Chinese. Icon is expected to delve into Faiyaz’s journey of balancing his true self with public perception, and its executive producer is currently nominated for the 2026 Best Original Song Oscar for "I Lied to You" from Sinners.
Since the release of Wasteland, Faiyaz has remained active, launching ISO Supremacy in 2023 alongside the mixtape Larger Than Life. This project reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and featured hits such as “WY@” and “Moment of Your Life” featuring Coco Jones. In 2024, Tommy Richmann, an artist signed to ISO, achieved a significant milestone with the Billboard Hot 100 hit “Million Dollar Baby”, which reached No. 2. The following year, Faiyaz released several singles, including “Peter Pan,” “Have To,” and “Tony Soprano.” He also collaborated with Summer Walker on “Number One” from her album Finally Over It and featured on “Stay Here 4 Life” from A$AP Rocky's Billboard 200-topping album Don’t Be Dumb.
Throughout his career, Brent Faiyaz has made 15 entries on the Hot 100 chart, which includes hits like “Crew” (No. 45) with GoldLink and Shy Glizzy, “Rolling Stone” (No. 84), and “For Me” (No. 78) featuring Loe Shimmy.
