AceShowbiz - Exciting news for fans of CNCO! Erick Brian and Christopher Vélez have teamed up for a captivating new single titled Bajo Cero (“Below Zero”), which was released on February 5 through Warner Music Latin.

The track features a smooth Afrobeats rhythm layered with urban influences, as the former CNCO members explore themes of a broken relationship and the emotional struggle of suppressing feelings to endure heartache. The poignant chorus reflects this sentiment: I’d better put my feelings on ice/ This isn’t going to happen to me again/ You made me feel like an idiot/ made me believe I was the only one.

At ages 25 and 30, respectively, Erick and Christopher not only highlight the enduring friendship that began over a decade ago but also their harmonious blend of emotionally charged melodies and sweet vocal tones.

The release of Bajo Cero marks a significant moment for the duo, coming four years after CNCO—formed in 2015 alongside Richard Camacho, Zabdiel de Jesus, and Joel Pimentel (who departed in 2021)—announced their split in 2022 following nearly seven successful years together. During their time as a boy band, both Erick and Christopher contributed to multiple hits on the Billboard charts, including three No. 1 albums on the Latin Pop Albums chart, such as Primera Cita, which held the top spot for eight weeks in 2016.

In the fall of 2024, Billboard reported that Brian had embarked on a solo career under an exclusive partnership with Warner Music Latina and Big Bad Wolf Management Group. He released his debut EP titled BTW…Lo Intenté (By the Way, I Tried) last year. Meanwhile, Vélez has been independently releasing music since 2025.

The reunion was first hinted at through a December 30 Instagram post featuring the two musicians enjoying a jam session, and they have since shared glimpses of their recording studio moments leading up to the launch of Bajo Cero.
