AceShowbiz - Grammys executive producer Ben Winston has decisively addressed widespread speculation regarding a potential performance by Taylor Swift at the upcoming 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Despite fervent fan theories and an industry report from HITS, Winston confirmed the pop superstar is not slated to appear on stage during the ceremony, scheduled for this Sunday, February 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The rumours gained traction despite Taylor Swift not being nominated in any categories for the 2026 awards. Her latest studio album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, fell outside the eligibility window of August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025. Nonetheless, fans hoped for a surprise guest appearance, even with a lineup including Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, ROSÉ, Tyler, The Creator, and Sombr.

Speaking to HITS, Winston explicitly shut down the speculation. "The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally," he explained. He then pointedly added, "But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it’s a real thing, when it was made up in your office! That really is a full-circle rumour!" His remarks underscore the often-unpredictable nature of industry gossip.

While Taylor Swift won't perform this year, her Grammy history is legendary. With 14 awards, she last graced the stage in 2021, delivering a medley from ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, clinching Album Of The Year for ‘Folklore’.
