'American Pie' actor Jason Biggs looks nearly unrecognizable as he showed a much thinner figure when stepping out at a high-profiled event in New York City recently.

AceShowbiz - Jason Biggs, best known for his role in the iconic "American Pie" series, turned heads at the 2025 City Harvest Gala in New York City. The 46-year-old actor showcased a shocking 40lbs weight loss as he looked a lot thinner in a fitted navy blue suit.

While speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, Biggs revealed that his dramatic transformation was not fueled by Hollywood's popular Ozempic craze but resulted from significant lifestyle changes and the stress associated with directing his first movie.

"A part of it was I directed my first movie. Probably the most stressed I've ever been in my life, professionally anyway. So that contributed a little bit," Biggs explained.

Instead of relying on extreme diets, Biggs focused on eating healthier foods and incorporating frequent exercise into his routine. "No it's just healthier food. I was eating crap. I bike ride. I bike a lot. I go up the west side highway to New Jersey. It's one of my favorite things to do," he shared.

Although the actor didn't set out with the specific goal of losing 40lbs, he was driven by his desire to improve his health. "I wanted to bring my cholesterol down and I brought it down," he revealed his health issue. The journey took about a year and a half, and despite the challenges, Biggs is pleased with the results.

Biggs, who has been sober from alcohol since 2017, also expressed a cautious openness to the potential benefits of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, particularly for individuals with addiction issues. "I've actually heard - because I'm sober alcoholic - I heard it has benefits for that which would make sense," he revealed.

Reflecting on his past struggles with weight, Biggs credited his wife, Jenny Mollen, for modeling healthy behaviors. "Jenny works out all the time. She eats very healthy," he said. The couple and their two children frequently take walks around their NYC home to exercise and embrace healthy living.

Following his significant weight loss milestone, Biggs isn't considering surgery to remove any extra skin, focusing instead on building muscle. "Oh God no. I haven't lost that much. I'm just working out as well, trying to turn it into muscle, hopefully," he commented.
