
'Anora' actress Mikey Madison, fresh off her Oscar win, has decided to decline a role in an upcoming 'Star Wars' film directed by Shawn Levy and fronted by Ryan Gosling.

AceShowbiz - Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison has turned down a role in a "Star Wars" movie. Fresh off her Oscar win for "Anora," she was approached to join galaxy far far away, but has decided to pass up the offer.
The untitled standalone movie is set to be directed by Shawn Levy ("Deadpool & Wolverine"). Details of the project remain shrouded in mystery, but Ryan Gosling is expected to play a major role. The script was penned by Jonathan Tropper ("This Is Where I Leave You" and "The Adam Project").
Post Oscars, Mikey Madison has reportedly been flooded with movie offers including a "Resident Evil" reboot. She recently made her debut as a host on "Saturday Night Live". Her onscreen credits included "Scream 5" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
"Anora" director Sean Baker said he was so impressed by Madison's performance in "Scream 5" that he picked her without a second thought. "We were in the theater watching - I'd already seen her in ‘Once Upon a Time' - and I was like, 'She's her. There's no reason to look any further. We don't need a casting call. No auditions,' " he claimed.
Madison reflected on her challenging journey in an interview on Variety's Awards Circuit podcast. "I was scrolling through my Dropbox the other day and saw hundreds of auditions I've done - so many hours of work," she recounted. "But then, everything that came after was extremely difficult."
The making of "Anora" was tough, but the effort paid off handsomely, earning her the ultimate accolade from the Academy.
While the young actress has opted out of the "Star Wars" universe for now, fans eagerly await her next career move.
