Machine Gun Kelly has responded after being left out of a reimagined Mount Rushmore for white rappers, insisting that he deserves a spot on the viral depiction of the famous monument.

AceShowbiz - Machine Gun Kelly, known for his genre-blending music and bold persona, found himself at the center of a heated online debate. The controversy erupted following the circulation of a seemingly AI-generated image depicting a "White Rapper Mount Rushmore."

Replacing past U.S. presidents with prominent white rappers, the reimagined monument features stone renderings of Eminem, Mac Miller, Paul Wall, and Russ. Notably absent from the lineup was Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), and the omission did not go unnoticed by the rapper.

In response, MGK took to social media to voice his displeasure, labeling his exclusion as "blasphemy."

While Eminem's inclusion was largely undisputed, the other choices were subject to passionate debate. Paul Wall was acknowledged for pioneering Southern rap, Mac Miller was celebrated for his artistic evolution and influence on a new generation, and Russ was recognized for his independent grind and lyrical skill.

Russ' response to the controversy was subtle, sharing a fan's post on X that stated, "WHEN RUSS WANTS TO, HE CAN REALLY RAP BETTER THAN 99% OF THE GAME. THE CHOMP SERIES PROVES THAT."

Machine Gun Kelly initially rose to fame in the rap scene before transitioning to pop-punk. His sophomore album, "General Admission," released under Bad Boy Records, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Despite his recent foray into rock and country, exemplified by collaborations with Jelly Roll and covers for Spotify Singles, his fans argue that his rap credentials remain strong.

So what criteria should determine "Mount Rushmore" status? Is it cultural impact, lyrical skill, or commercial success? As the discussion continues to rage on social media, it's evident that Machine Gun Kelly is not willing to be sidelined.
