AceShowbiz - Lana Del Rey fans may need to hold their breath a little longer for her upcoming album. On Friday, April 11, the singer took to Instagram to share updates about her music projects.
Already riding the wave of support for her new country-tinged ballad, "Henry, Come On," Del Rey had some less-than-ideal news for her followers. The much-anticipated 10th album, originally titled "The Right Person Will Stay", will not be releasing on May 21 as planned.
"You know it's not going to come on time, right?" Del Rey said in her video update. “Should I even tell you that the name changed again? Should I tell you that now, while you're so happy that you even have a song? Yeah, maybe I'll wait."
While she didn't disclose a new release date or the updated title, Del Rey did offer some good news to soften the blow. Her next single, "Blue Bird," is confirmed to drop next Friday, April 18. This will be a relieving piece of news for her followers eager for new music.
Delays are nothing new for Lana Del Rey, as her three previous albums – "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd", "Chemtrails Over the Country Club", and "Blue Banisters" - all faced various setbacks before their releases.
Adding to the buzz, Del Rey will be gracing the Stagecoach stage on April 25. "It's not lost on me about how amazing it is that we got to headline Coachella last year and that we get to sing at the top of the night at Stagecoach on the smaller stage this year. My band is so excited. I'm really excited, and I'm really happy for this album to be moving along," she shared.
Exciting times lie ahead for Lana Del Rey fans, despite the album delay. While we wait for the new release date and title, "Blue Bird" will hopefully keep us all enchanted.
