AceShowbiz - Lana Del Rey continues to build excitement for her upcoming album, Stove, with the release of a captivating new single titled “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” on February 17, 2026.
The song, co-written with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, whom she married in September 2024, explores a haunting yet tender portrayal of their relationship. Over delicate, wavering strings, Del Rey sings about her profound connection and admiration for her partner. “I know you wish you had a man like him, it’s such a bummer / When I met him, like an arrow, like a bird in the heart, like a sparrow,” she croons, emphasizing their deep bond with the line, “We’re a match, he’s just in my bone marrow.”
The lyrics reveal a mystical dimension to their love, with Del Rey inviting her partner to share in a metaphorical act of creation: “And I wanted to know if I could use your stove / To cook somethin’ up for you ’cause you are, / Positively voodoo, everything that you do / Did you know exactly how magical you are?” This poetic imagery hints at enchantment woven into their relationship.
The single’s creation was a collaborative family effort, with Del Rey’s sister Chuck Grant and brother-in-law Jason Pickens contributing to the songwriting. Additionally, the track was produced and co-composed by Jack Antonoff, a longtime collaborator known for shaping many of her signature sounds.
Upon announcing the single, Del Rey described it as her “favorite” song from the forthcoming album. She expressed anticipation for the album’s release, suggesting Stove could be ready to debut within approximately three months.
Del Rey’s new album marks a continuation of her evolving sound, initially teased in January 2024 at the Billboard x NMPA Songwriter Awards, where she revealed she was working on a country-influenced record. The project’s lead single, “Henry, Come On,” was released in April 2025 under the working title The Right Person Will Stay. The album was later renamed Stove and its release postponed.
Before this, Del Rey released her 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which achieved notable success by reaching No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Fans eager to experience the new track can listen to “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” now, as it offers a tantalizing glimpse into the next chapter of Lana Del Rey’s musical journey.
