Could Robert Downey Jr.'s curly-haired look hint at Doctor Doom's appearance in the MCU? Fans are divided as an invitation to his upcoming 60th birthday party went viral.

AceShowbiz - Marvel enthusiasts may have just gotten their first look at Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of Doctor Doom, but not everyone is thrilled with what they see. It came after the actor's Marvel-themed birthday invitation went viral.
Grammy-nominated musician Eric Lewis, also known as ELEW, recently shared an image of the invite to Downey Jr.'s 60th birthday party. The actor is depicted as Doctor Doom, sporting a curly hairstyle, green outfit, a purple cape, and what seems to be variation of an Iron Man mask.
This image quickly sparked discussions on social media. While some fans are not happy, labeling it "the worst [live-action] depiction of Doom," others suggest taking things with a grain of salt, as it seems unlikely that such a significant spoiler would be revealed in an informal setting like a birthday party invitation.
Downey's involvement in this new role goes beyond the screen. Directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo have revealed that Downey Jr.'s deeply involved in developing Doom's backstory, working closely with the filmmakers to define the character. According to the Russo brothers, no one but Downey could bring this iteration of Doom to life effectively.
Downey's Doctor Doom image coincides with Marvel's recent reveal of the massive "Avengers: Doomsday" cast. During a special livestream event, the studio confirmed 27 actors, including Downey, would feature in the film. Further casting announcements are expected soon.
Given the timing of the cast reveal and Downey's birthday celebration, fans are naturally curious and speculative. However, it's essential to keep in mind that movie character designs often remain under wraps until the studio decides to make an official reveal, especially for Marvel that's known for its secrecy.
