AceShowbiz - As viewers tuned into the Tuesday, April 1, episode of "Denise Richards and Her Wild Things", they witnessed Denise Richards navigating the turbulent relationship her daughter, Sami Sheen, has with her father, Charlie Sheen.

Unlike her younger sister, Lola, Sami has chosen to distance herself from Charlie, expressing a strong reluctance to reconnect. "Sami's not gonna go because she doesn't want to. Your dad wants to see you," Denise told Lola during a conversation.

Sami, who is now 21, revealed in her confessional, "I would rather do literally anything else than go to lunch with my father."

She disclosed that she had not spoken to her 59-year-old father for months. Reflecting on their relationship, Sami said, "For the first 13 years of my life, it was pretty bad and then we were OK for a couple of years. Now, it's just, like, OK."

It didn't help when Charlie publicly opposed Sami's career choice as a content creator for adult social media platform OnlyFans. "This did not occur under my roof. I do not condone this, but since I'm unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity," he initially said before softening his stance later on.

Denise, understanding her daughter's feelings, acknowledged the rocky past they experienced with Charlie. "It hasn't always been perfect with he and Lola either - with any of his kids," Denise admitted. "So, I hope that he does recognize that, because he's missing out."

Sami echoed her mother's sentiments, adding, "He really is missing out."

In contrast, 19-year-old Lola has a closer bond with Charlie. "I am so close with him right now and I think that's such a blessing," Lola said, further revealing they enjoy biweekly pedicures together. Despite this, Lola noted during their dinner that she could "never picture" her parents as a married couple.

Denise and Charlie's relationship history is marked by turbulence. Married for four-and-a-half years, their union began in 2002, but despite attempting a reconciliation, they officially parted ways in April 2006.

Denise highlighted the emotional turmoil post-divorce, pointing out, "The girls have been through a lot with their dad. It has been up and down." She also recalled her own struggles, mentioning their divorce pushed her close to "rock bottom." She lamented, "I became a shell of myself."

Despite this, when Charlie Sheen "spiraled," Denise stepped in to take in "his boys." She said, "I didn't publicly say I did. I was in the tabloids all the time and it got to a point where I had to, literally, put myself basically in a bubble."

Amidst all the ruckus, she was determined to protect her daughters and maintain family unity. She commented on the necessity to "fake it" in front of the children, "At the end of the day, what really matters? It's my daughters and my family, and that's all I care about."
