AceShowbiz - Sami Sheen, the 20-year-old daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, recently opened up about her decision to undergo rhinoplasty last August. The OnlyFans content creator revealed that bullying and comparisons to her famous parents led her to seek cosmetic enhancement.
"I had to deal with kids bullying me," Sami confided to her mom on a recent episode of the family show "Denise Richards & Her Wild Things". "People would say I looked like my dad. I actually got a comment the other day of someone saying, 'You'll never be as pretty as your mom.' "
Sami recounted wanting the nose job "for as long as [she] can remember," despite her mother Denise's reassurances. On the way to her consultation, Sami expressed her excitement, "Imagine how much prettier I'll be. [I'll be] able to contour without there being lumps on the side of it."
This admission brought about mixed emotions for Richards, who confessed in her confessional, "For my daughter to want to get her nose done, it made me so sad. I feel bad that she has to live up to my nose, or whatever, because I don't want [my daughters] to feel they have to look a certain way."
In one of the episodes, Sami explained that her desire for the surgery was driven by a wish to resemble her mother more closely. "Mom, I'm literally paying for your nose," she stated while pointing to Richards' nose as an example of the "perfect" nose. During the face-to-face consultation with the plastic surgeon, Sami once again emphasized her desire for a "more feminine nose."
Sami's journey with cosmetic surgery didn't start with her nose. Nine months prior, she had undergone another procedure to increase her cup sizes, a decision she later expressed some regrets about.
"When I got my implants done, I told way too many people," Sami recalled, wishing she had chosen a bigger size. This experience led her to keep her rhinoplasty more private, even deciding that she didn't want her mother or younger sister, Lola, to be present. However, Sami eventually regretted not having her mother there for support on the day of the surgery.
While Richard's emotions varied from concern to understanding, the family dynamic showed support amid the challenge. Denise acknowledged that it "hurt my feelings" not to be present during Sami's surgery but respected her daughter's wish for privacy.
This poignant family interaction underscores the complexities of growing up under public scrutiny and highlights the importance of parental support in facing personal insecurities.
