AceShowbiz - The highly anticipated movie series about the lives and careers of The Beatles members announced cast members. Officially titled "The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event", it will present the life stories of the Fab Four from individual perspectives.
Set to star in the films are Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. James Bond director Sam Mendes ("Spectre", "Skyfall") is confirmed to sit behind the lens.
Each film will be a standalone biopic centered on one member of the iconic band, offering a nuanced view of their journey from musical prodigies to global superstars. It books April 2028 release.
Announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, this bold cinematic venture aims to redefine the traditional movie-going experience. Mendes declared, "We're not just making one film about the Beatles - we're making four. Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply."
Sony film boss Tom Rothman further amplified the ambition behind the project, describing it as "the first binge-able theatrical experience."
The star-studded announcement concluded Sony's presentation at CinemaCon on a high note. The four actors took the stage to recite lyrics from the Beatles' 1967 classic, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," before striking a synchronized bow reminiscent of the band at the height of Beatlemania. This theatrical performance left the audience both stunned and excited for what's to come.
