The Gardners described Miller as "a beloved son and brother" and reflected on the joy he brought to their lives. "He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family, and his friends. He lived life to the fullest every single day," they wrote, emphasizing the loss of his "infectious smile."

The couple, who also have another son named Hunter, expressed their gratitude to those who have offered support during this difficult time.

"We are thankful to all who have reached out to offer support and encouragement during this difficult time and we are confident our faith, family, and friends will help us navigate this unimaginable loss," the statement continued.

The New York Yankees sent condolences with a deeply heartfelt message, "Our hearts are heavy, and the Yankees family is filled with grief after learning of the passing of Miller Gardner."
