The 26-year-old surgical technologist opened up about her experience via her Instagram Story, detailing the emotional rollercoaster she has endured over the past months.

"This past week, I miscarried again," Joy shared on Sunday, marking the second loss within a few months.

Having mourned their first loss at the beginning of the year, Joy found herself unexpectedly pregnant again, a situation that brought a blend of anxiety and happiness.

"It took some time for me to accept what had happened only to be handed another chance so easily and so fast. But eventually, I found so much happiness. We were finally in a place of complete utter gratitude," she wrote.

Following her second miscarriage, Joy underwent a dilation and curettage, a procedure to remove tissue from the uterus after a miscarriage.

Despite the physical and emotional toll, Joy promised to keep her followers updated on her healing journey. "It's going to take some time for me to feel like myself again and honestly I may never will, but I hope to keep y'all involved in whatever that may look like," she added.

Joy credited her husband, Nick Viall, and their 1-year-old daughter, River, for being her pillars of strength during these trying times. "Going back to squeezing my husband and my sweet angel River Rose who are truly the reason I have survived this time and time again," Joy concluded.

The sorrowful announcement follows an earlier revelation shared during an episode of the "Viall Files" podcast in January, where Joy described the incident as the "biggest heartbreak" she had ever experienced. She confided about feeling "so empty" and "dead inside" while attempting to take care of River.

"It sucks because I have to be so alive for River," Joy articulated. "I have to be silly and goofy and funny and play with her. Then, I have this overwhelming guilt that when I'm with my husband, I can't also do that. I'm sad that the only version [he gets] right now is this broken person."

Nick Viall and Natalie Joy married in April 2024, two months after welcoming their first child together. Their daughter River serves as both a comfort and a reminder of the couple's resilience and love.
