The 'Gossip Girl' alum strongly criticizes The Hollywood Reporter's latest cover that compares her legal spat with Justin Baldoni to David vs. Goliath battle.

AceShowbiz - The latest cover of The Hollywood Reporter has elicited a sharp rebuke from Blake Lively's representative. Amidst the ongoing legal spat between Lively and Justin Baldoni, the publication put their drama front and center in their newest issue.

Lively is depicted as David armed with a slingslot and Baldoni as Goliath holding "It Ends With Us" script. The image, intended to encapsulate the contentious nature of the litigation, has instead ignited a fervent debate regarding its perceived perpetuation of harmful stereotypes.

A formal statement issued by a spokesperson for Lively articulated her displeasure. "The Hollywood Reporter should be ashamed of itself," the rep said.

The crux of the criticism centered on "the framing," which was deemed to be not merely insensitive, but actively detrimental. The rep elaborated, "The framing in this picture is outrageously insulting as it plays into every sexist trope about women who dare file a workplace complaint, turning them into the aggressor, and suggesting they deserve the retaliation that comes their way."

Furthermore, the accompanying article was heavily criticized. The spokesperson added, "In addition, the story is extremely offensive as it incredibly seems to explain away documented examples of sexual harassment and retaliation by calling them 'cultural misunderstandings.' "

The Hollywood Reporter cover arrived just after Blake Lively filed an amended complaint, claiming there're other women victimized on set of "It Ends With Us". She also sought stronger protections, citing threats against family, co-stars, and supporters.

The actress didn't reveal the identity of the other alleged victims, but reports have since emerged that co-star Jenny Slate filed a complaint against producer and studios boss Jamey Heath following an "uncomfortable" incident.
