Actor Eric Mabius from the hit series 'Ugly Betty' has been arrested in Florida, facing charges of battery and resisting an officer after an alleged violent altercation at a bar.

AceShowbiz - Eric Mabius, known for his role as Daniel Meade in the beloved TV show "Ugly Betty", was taken into custody in Florida's Nassau County early Thursday morning, February 20. The 53-year-old actor faces two misdemeanor charges incuding battery.
The arrest occurred following a reported bar altercation in Fernandina Beach, about 25 miles north of Jacksonville. It began when Mabius allegedly intervened in an escalating disagreement involving his female companion, who was reportedly behaving disrespectfully and spitting on patrons.
Amid repeated requests from the bartender and other guests for her to leave, tensions peaked and led to physical altercations where Mabius allegedly threw both his companion and the other woman to the ground to stop their fight.
Mabius reportedly "got on top" of the female victim, pulling her hair and tearing out a handful. When law enforcement arrived, both Mabius and his female companion were described as "extremely intoxicated" and hostile, with Mabius failing to comply with basic commands to sit on a bench.
This non-cooperation led to the additional charge of resisting an officer without violence.
Despite the chaotic scene, one crucial eyewitness opted not to press charges, citing the spitting incident as a mere altercation in a heated environment.
In his mugshot, Mabius showed a noticeable bruise and bloody cut around his right eye. Representatives for the actor have not yet responded to requests for comment.
