Pete Davidson talks about his former fiancee Ariana Grande and his hopeful wishes for Grande's Oscar nomination as he has nothing but love for the actress despite their separation.

AceShowbiz - In a recent interview with Page Six ahead of "SNL50: The Anniversary Special", Pete Davidson, 31, shared rare insights on his past relationship with Ariana Grande. He emphasized on his unwavering support for the actress despite their split.

"When we see each other, which is few and far between, because we're not in the same circles, it's all love," the "Saturday Night Live" alumnus remarked. Applauding Grande on her recent Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, he added, "I hope she wins the Oscar, I hope she takes the gold."

The pair began dating in 2018 and got engaged shortly after before calling it off before the year's end. Since their breakup, both stars have moved on to new relationships.

Grande married Dalton Gomez in 2021 before divorcing in 2024 and is currently dating "Wicked" co-star Ethan Slater. Meanwhile, Davidson was linked to Hollywood beauties like Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Margaret Qualley, Kim Kardashian, and most recently, Madelyn Cline.

"I've had some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women, and when it's ended it's been cool," he said.

Davidson candidly discussed the intense media scrutiny he's faced over his dating life, admitting that the constant attention was challenging. "It was pretty humiliating and upsetting, honestly," he revealed.

"Everyone is dating everyone and it's Hollywood. Look at Paul Mescal, Timothee Chalamet, Barry Keoghan. But because I'm ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell."

Davidson wanted his work to be the focus rather than his relationships. As one of the youngest-ever cast members on SNL, he was upset that his professional achievements were overshadowed by his personal life. "It's embarrassing because you want people to write about your work," he said.

Davidson, who left "Saturday Night Live" in 2022, is now focusing on his sobriety, workouts, and removing his tattoos. "Now, over the last six months, I'm not dating," he said, emphasizing his commitment to living a healthier life. "I've had six months of good living and working hard."

Meanwhile, Grande continues to shine in her career. She received nominations at multiple prestigious awards for her role in "Wicked." "I cannot stop crying, to no one's surprise," she wrote.

"I'm humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny Ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' just before the big, beautiful bubble entered. I'm so proud of you, tiny."
