Lily Allen opens up about her recent stay at a treatment center, shedding light on her emotional struggles, healing process, and newfound strength as she navigates life post-split from David Harbour.

AceShowbiz - Lily Allen has returned to her BBC podcast, "Miss Me?" after spending several weeks in a treatment center. She shared details of her journey, expressing gratitude for the "time and space" she had been given to focus on her mental health.

The British singer assures fans she's now in a "stronger place" after seeking help following her split from David Harbour. The "Smile" singer confirmed, "I went into a sort of treatment center for a few weeks, which was great. I did lots of group therapy and some individual therapy and I just, I needed some time and space away from everything."

Allen discussed the intricate "shadow work" she engaged in, focusing on "inner child stuff," acknowledging, "It was not easy by any stretch." Despite the challenges, she reinforced that healing is an ongoing process, stating, "It's a journey. It's a lifelong journey of healing. It's not a quick fix."

The British-born singer's motivation for seeking help stemmed from her role as a mother to daughters Marnie Rose, 12, and Ethel Mary, 13, whom she shared with her ex-husband Sam Cooper.

"I absolutely adore my children and I'm in a situation now where I really have to be my strongest self for them," she explained. "And I felt like it was getting harder and harder for me to be able to show up for them in the way that they need me to."

The decision to leave her daughters for a few weeks to undergo treatment was difficult, but necessary, Allen emphasized. "Yes, it's for me, but it's for them so that I can get us through this bit. I needed some help to be able to do that," she said.

Reflecting on her duty as a parent, she noted, "I just don't think I was able to do that because of the sort of emotional turmoil that I was in at the time."

Allen's stay at the $10,000-per-month facility also involved meditation and medication, which she has since incorporated into her daily routine. She also didn't have access to television and phones during her stay at the wellness center.

While Lily Allen took a timeout from public to care for her wellbeing, her estranged husband recently walked the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards solo and without his wedding ring. Despite his wife's emotional turmoil, he looked upbeat at the event.

As for Allen, she's determined to continue her journey to healing, "I'm not saying I'm 100% there and I'm not saying that I'm getting it 100% right or ever will but I'm definitely in a stronger place."
