The upcoming third 'Avatar' movie is set to introduce a new Na'vi clan, the Wind Traders, who bring a unique aerial perspective to Pandora's breathtaking landscape.

AceShowbiz - In the highly anticipated "Avatar: Fire and Ash", set for release on December 19, Pandora's vast realm is poised to become even more captivating with the introduction of a remarkable new Na'vi clan. An image released by Empire magazine has been released, revealing a first look at this new character.

The Wind Traders (Tlalim Clan), led by the charismatic Peylak (David Thewlis), have mastered the art of traversing Pandora's landscape using colossal jellyfish-like creatures, adding a new layer to the franchise's already stunning aerial sequences.

While previous "Avatar" films showcased the Na'vi soaring through vibrant skies atop their ikran mounts and navigating bioluminescent oceans, this new clan offers a wholly different aerial experience that promises to transform the way we perceive transportation in James Cameron's ever-expanding alien universe.

The newly unveiled character design for Peylak reveals him in striking attire, featuring a vibrant sunset-colored cloak that underwent significant revisions during development. Costume designer Deborah L. Scott explains that director Cameron sought a more grand appearance for the clan. The result is a visually captivating feast that promises to invigorate Pandora's evolving ecosystem.

"They're upbeat, happy, colourful," Scott says, adding that "when they come into our movie, everyone's excited to see them. It's like the circus is in town."

Thewlis, renowned for his portrayal of Remus Lupin in the "Harry Potter" movie series, infuses the role of Peylak with distinctive flair. Scott praises his "great posture" and declares him "absolutely stunning in the movie."

The third "Avatar" installment also introduces Michelle Yeoh as human scientist Dr. Karina Mogue and Oona Chaplin in an undisclosed role. Returning cast members include Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver.

The Wind Traders represent a groundbreaking expansion of Pandora's rich ecosystem, following the oceanic exploration in "Avatar: The Way of Water". This third installment has completed 95% of its filming alongside "The Way of Water" and promises to showcase new biomes and Na'vi clans while pushing technological boundaries.

With "The Way of Water" surpassing $2.3 billion at the box office, expectations soar for this next chapter. "Avatar: Fire and Ash" will be followed by "Avatar 4" and "Avatar 5" tentatively scheduled for 2026 and 2028 respectively.
