AceShowbiz - Brian Austin Green has opened up about his recent criticism of Machine Gun Kelly, explaining that it was born out of frustration. The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum discussed with People magazine his Instagram Story, in which he slammed Kelly for downplaying issues in his relationship with Fox.
"That's not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it," Green, 51, told the magazine.
Green's outburst came after MGK seemingly tried to insist that everything was fine with him and pregnant on-and-off girlfriend Megan Fox.
Green, who was previously married to Fox and shares three children with her, wrote in his since-expired Story, "Bro. Just be honest for once in your life. Stop caring so much about how you're perceived that you will try and drag other people."
Green didn't expect to hear from Kelly after his comments and decided to keep his opinions about his ex-wife and her ex-fiance to himself from now on. "So I spoke my mind, but then I've since come to terms with the fact that I won't do that anymore," Green said. "I'm going to shut up and just sit back."
Despite his decision to be silent, Green emphasized that he will always support Fox. "I just want the best for her, I want the best for the baby, I want the best for our kids," he said.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly began dating in 2020 while filming "Midnight in the Switchgrass". They were engaged in early 2022 but reportedly ended their engagement in late November 2024. Fox is expecting her first child with Kelly.
When the news of their split broke out in 2024, Green urged Kelly to "grow up."
