The 'Legally Blonde' actress has taken to Instagram to address the buzzing rumors about alleged fallout with Kate Winslet following her story about a disastrous speech at an awards show.

AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon has spoken out amid rumors of a feud with her longtime friend, Kate Winslet. While celebrating the release of her new movie "You're Cordially Invited", she posted a statement addressing the internet chatters.
"Hey guys… just spoke to my very dear friend for years, Kate W. We laughed about this stupidity. Please do not believe the internet. We are good friends and have never had any falling out," the blonde star wrote on Instagram Story, putting the feud rumors to rest while reaffirming the strong friendship between the two acclaimed actresses.
The rumors stemmed from a recent interview where Witherspoon told her co-star Will Ferrell about a disastrous speech at a "classy" British awards show, where she roasted a fellow actress and got a cold shoulder afterwards.
"So I got up and I roasted her," she recalled. "I was like, 'Remember the time we got laser hair removal?' " While Witherspoon intended the jokes to be lighthearted, she later realized her mistake. "I thought it was so funny and it was just, I had the wrong audience," she lamented. "It was pretty bad. Yeah. Not even kidding, she doesn't talk to me anymore."
While Witherspoon did not name names, fans quickly speculated that the unnamed actress was Kate Winslet. In 2007, the "Legally Blonde" star presented the "Titanic" beauty with an award at the BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards, where she delivered a comedic speech filled with anecdotes and jokes, including a laser hair removal story.
With Witherspoon's denial, now the identity of the famous actress remains a mystery.
