James Haven, 51, and Romi Imbelli, 42, exchanged vows in an understated ceremony in Laguna Beach, California, surrounded by close family members, including Haven's father, Jon Voight. Surprisingly absent from the guest list was Haven's sister, Angelina Jolie, who has been in the headlines due to the recent finalization of her acrimonious eight-year divorce from Brad Pitt.

Romi confirmed the marriage via Instagram, posting a heartfelt message along with a black-and-white photo of the couple smiling on their wedding day. "In 2024, I married my best friend of 23 years. The details of our story are too personal and complicated to share now, but I am writing it all in my book," she wrote. Romi revealed they're planning a larger celebration in the future.

The honeymoon period proved short-lived for the newlyweds. "Unfortunately, we had a big fight the next day," Romi admitted on Instagram. She detailed how the couple spent five months healing and reflecting, ultimately deciding to work through their differences.

"I feel liberated and ready to return to my husband and our home in LA. Everything that has happened in the last few months was all part of a greater plan, and I trust in God's timing," she added.

James Haven's role in his sister Angelina's tumultuous life further keeps him in the public eye. In a rare January 2024 podcast appearance, he spoke about his protective relationship with Jolie and her six children. "That's where it all started. It started with the protection of her and then of her children, my nieces and nephews," he said.

Haven's dedication to his family also draws from lessons learned from their late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. "Anytime I'm blessed to be in their presence, I want to be in their presence... a quality I got from my mom," James shared.
