AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen, the host of Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live", has opened up about the "most annoying" aspect of co-hosting CNN's annual New Year's Eve countdown with Anderson Cooper.

"Well, [it's] that I have to be the straight guy," Cohen revealed. "Literally, he's in a puddle of giggles for the last 90 minutes of the broadcast, and I'm the one that's hitting all the commercial breaks."

Cohen further explained the role reversal that occurs towards the end of the special. "I kind of turn into Mr. CNN for the last 90 minutes, and he turns into Mr. Bravo. It's a very funny role reversal."

This year will mark the eighth consecutive year that Cohen and Cooper have co-hosted the CNN special. They are known for their playful on-screen chemistry and Cooper's tendency to get the "giggles" towards the end of the night.

In a recent interview on "Watch What Happens Live", Cooper jokingly revealed his own pet peeve about hosting the New Year's Eve broadcast: "Just who he's gonna insult and what the clean up on aisle 3 is gonna be in the morning."

Despite their occasional annoyances, Cohen and Cooper have maintained a close friendship for over two decades. They first connected when a mutual friend attempted to set them up on a date, but ultimately became platonic friends.

Now, the pair share a bond over fatherhood, as Cohen has two children and Cooper has two sons with his ex-partner. As fathers, they share a mutual understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting.
