AceShowbiz - Emma Heming, wife of Bruce Willis, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to mark their 17th wedding anniversary, while reflecting on the challenges they have faced amidst his dementia diagnosis.
"Anniversaries used to bring excitement, but now, if I'm honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach," Heming wrote.
The model expressed her grief and anger, allowing herself 30 minutes to process the emotions before embracing the unconditional love they share. "What is… is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it, and it's because of him," she wrote.
Heming and Willis have been together since 2007 and married in 2009. They have two daughters: Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10. Willis also has three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore: Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 30.
The Willis family has been a source of support for the actor, including Moore. "There is great loss, but there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it," Moore shared. "It's so important... to meet them where they're at."
Heming's anniversary message received support from Willis's daughter Tallulah, who commented, "I love you so much. Both of you." The couple's close relationship with Moore and their eldest daughters reflects their strong family bond.
In March 2022, Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, affecting his ability to communicate. A year later, he received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Despite the challenges, Heming remains dedicated to her husband, expressing her unwavering love and support.
