Is Jay Leno hiding a gambling addiction behind a string of bizarre accidents? Bill Maher dives into the speculation with an investigative twist that has media and fans buzzing.

AceShowbiz - Bill Maher has confronted Jay Leno with "conspiracy theories" that the former late-night host's recent injuries have resulted from unpaid gambling debts.

In November, Leno suffered a facial injury after falling down a hill in Pennsylvania. Earlier, he had sustained multiple injuries while working on his classic car collection, including a fire that burned his face and a motorcycle crash that resulted in broken bones. These incidents have sparked speculation that Leno, despite his estimated net worth of $450 million, is heavily indebted to loan sharks.

On his "Club Random" podcast, Maher asked if Leno's fall down the hill was really a "cover story" for a mob beating. Leno dismissed the claims, joking about the absurdity of the mob targeting him in rural Pennsylvania.

As Maher looked skeptical, Leno quipped, "I love the idea that the mob would drive to Greenburg, Pennsylvania, wait outside the Hampton Inn on kind of a sleety, rainy day to throw me down the hill."

Leno went on to explain why the rumors didn't make any sense to him, "I like the idea that they wouldn't just take one of my cars to pay the gambling debt."

Leno then recounted an incident involving his late-night predecessor, Johnny Carson, who was reportedly targeted by organized crime for "hitting on" mob girlfriends. Carson halted his show for a week due to the threat, which was eventually lifted after NBC aired coverage of an Italian parade.
