AceShowbiz - Pleasure P has made a shocking claim about one of Lil Wayne's successful songs. The "Did You Wrong" singer revealed that he was never paid or credited for writing the "A Milli" rapper's hit titled "Lollipop".
On Friday, December 27, a series of the R&B singer's videos made their rounds on Instagram. In the shorts clips, it could be seen that he was sitting down inside a car and talking to the camera when "Lollipop", which was released back in 2008, was being played in the background.
Pleasure P, whose real name is Marcus Ramone Cooper Sr., said, "[I] wrote that. Rex Amar, Taz, Wayne, Mac Maine, I need my f***ing plaque for this song bro. Jim Johnson. Y'all can do something about this s**t but nobody care about me no more."
Pleasure P went on to claim, "Rex got my publishing and he got his name on his record bro and I can't get my just do. Before my first album came out, I wrote this song with Static," making a reference to late singer/rapper Static Major.
The "Boyfriend #2" singer explained, "I ain't kill nobody, I ain't crashed out." He continued, "So understand man I don't want no violence or nothing bro cuz that's the right way to do s**t. But my son just got out of jail like I ain't got time for this s**t no more bro."
"I'm 40 now. Just give me what I deserve bro. I wrote this," Pleasure P further stressed. In another footage, he pointed out, "I'm a part of his biggest record. 1.3 million the first week. And I haven't been able to celebrate that."
While Lil Wayne has not publicly responded to Pleasure P's claim, social media users had some questions for the latter. Taking to Instagram, one in particular asked, "so why he wait so long to say something? why not try to get paid? Idk i don't believe him."
Another suggested, "T F HE TELLIN US FOR WHAT DOES HE WANT US TO DO?!? Call An Attorney Kneega!!" A third showed support for Pleasure P, writing, "I don't care if it was fifty ellum years ago...fix the credits...and write the check!! The main ones who brag about blowing bags never want to pay!!"
