On Thursday, December 26, a source spilled that the 55-year-old legendary singer and the 38-year-old hip-hop artist have been "flirty" with each other even though he is still legally married to Jae Lin. Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the source said, "Mariah and Anderson have been hanging out for months, and have a flirty connection."
The source went on to explain, "But he has a reputation as a ladies' man in Hollywood and is still legally married to his wife. Since filing for divorce in January he's been pursuing several different women, including those 10 to 20 years his senior who are in the industry, so it wouldn't be a huge shock if he got together with Mariah."
"He's not just hanging out with younger women," the insider stressed, before elaborating, "Anderson is a very cool guy, fun and generous, but he might not be in the right place for a serious relationship at the moment."
The revelation came after Mariah and Anderson became the talk of the town following their delightful outing. On Sunday night, December 22, the two were seen holding hands as they entered Catch Steak, in Aspen. During the night out, the duo were also spotted laughing with his arm adorning her waist as he opened the door for her.
The pair's hand-holding and intimate gestures sparked immediate romance rumors. However, the rumors were later debunked. They reportedly are not dating but are instead collaborating on new music. The two artists allegedly have been working in a studio in the city and decided to take a break to enjoy dinner together.
Though so, Anderson's recent behavior prompted fans to think that they are really dating. Before Christmas, he was on a shopping spree in Aspen, Colorado and was approached by a photographer, who asked him some questions about Mariah. In response, he could not help but burst into laughter. He also giggled when the paparazzo brought up their headline-making fun outing.
