AceShowbiz - Hollywood stars have rallied in support of Blake Lively after the renowned actress filed a bombshell lawsuit against her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, alleging harassment and a concerted campaign to tarnish her reputation. High-profile figures such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Amy Schumer, and director Paul Feig, as well as Lively's "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" co-stars, have publicly stated their support for her stance.
Blake Lively has accused Baldoni of misconduct on set of their movie, Baldoni has vehemently denied these accusations, labeling them as "completely false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious."
Gwyneth Paltrow showed her support by adding Lively's Blake Brown haircare line to her Christmas wish list on Instagram Stories, punctuating her message with a queen emoji.
Following suit, comedian Amy Schumer posted, "I believe Blake," on Instagram Stories. Schumer's support is particularly noteworthy given her history of roasting Lively on her "Inside Amy Schumer" sketch show. "We're not close friends," she said.
Director Paul Feig, who worked with Lively on "A Simple Favor" and its sequel, also spoke out on Twitter/X, praising her professionalism and expressing dismay over the accusations.
"All I can say is she's one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented and kind people I've ever worked with," he commented. "She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it's awful she was put through this."
Lively's "Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants" co-stars America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel released a joint statement of support. "We stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation," they said.
In her 10-claim complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, Lively outlines the "hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production of the film" and alleges a multi-pronged "Astroturfing" campaign launched against her by Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer Studios.
Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman has countered these allegations, calling them a "desperate attempt to 'fix' her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film."
As this case continues to unfold, the show of support from Hollywood signifies the broader cultural shift towards accountability and solidarity in the face of alleged misconduct.
