"He's a person. He's not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else," Trinity, 22, said during the interview on December 18. She cited Dennis Rodman's issues with substance abuse and his partying lifestyle as major disruptions during her childhood. She also criticized Dennis' parenting, claiming he only showed up to her game just for the camera.

The Washington Spirit star further revealed how her father's erratic presence and substance issues affected her and her brother, DJ. "Before the divorce happened, my dad was actually helping money wise. …When the divorce happened, it was just like, 'F*** you guys.' … We're getting enough money to pay rent, barely," she explained during the podcast.

Trinity also talked about the emotional toll her father's lifestyle took on her, describing him bluntly as "an alcoholic." She mentioned only answering his calls now out of a sense of duty for her conscience, should something happen to him. "I want to know that I did that. Or if he needed to hear my voice before anything happens," she said. "That's why I answer the phone, not for me."

Following her interview, Dennis Rodman, 63, issued a lengthy Instagram apology, expressing regret for not meeting her expectations as a father. "Sorry I wasn't the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still try and never will stop," he wrote, sharing a video montage of photos from different years.

However, Trinity was unimpressed. "A joke. The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I'm done. Thank you," she responded on her Instagram Stories, making it clear that she had lost hope for reconciliation.
