Kevin Costner opens up about the shocking 'Yellowstone' finale and his reported feud with former co-star Luke Grimes, sharing his thoughts and addressing the rumors.

AceShowbiz - Kevin Costner has broken his silence on the controversial "Yellowstone" finale and his alleged fallout with Luke Grimes. In a video obtained by DailyMail.com, the Oscar-winning actor was asked about his departure from the show and the rumors surrounding it. Costner responded, "I'm not thinking about [the 'Yellowstone' finale], I don't think I've given it any thoughts, we'll just let it go."

Costner's character John Dutton was unexpectedly killed off in a murder-for-hire plot, sparking rumors of a rift between the actor and showrunner Taylor Sheridan. In June, Costner revealed that he was originally supposed to be on the show for only one season, but ultimately agreed to do five.

As for his relationship with Grimes, who played his onscreen son Kayce, Costner confirmed that they haven't been in contact since the finale aired. "No, I haven't talked to him since," Grimes told Men's Health. "It's not a case of any hard feelings or anything; it's just, he's Kevin Costner."

Grimes has been candid about how Costner's exit from the show improved the filming experience for him and the rest of the cast. "To be really honest, there was a part of Kevin being gone that meant some of the conflict was gone," Grimes said. "It was actually the easiest season we've filmed."

However, Costner has denied the rumors of a feud, stating in an interview with Deadline, "I made a contract for seasons five, six, and seven. ... They weren't able to make those. 'Horizon' was set in the middle, but Yellowstone was first position. I fit ['Horizon: An American Saga'] into the gaps. They just kept moving their gaps."

Despite the rumors and controversy surrounding his departure, Costner remains grateful for his time on "Yellowstone". "I made 'Yellowstone' the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong," Costner told Deadline.
