The daytime show hosted by 'American Idol' winner Kelly Clarkson is confirmed to return for seventh season, continuing its success as an uplifting daytime destination.

AceShowbiz - NBC Owned Television Stations group announced on Monday, December 16 that the beloved talk show hosted by Kelly Clarkson will return for another season. The daytime series, which features the Grammy Award-winning singer, has become a staple of daytime television, consistently holding the top afternoon spot in nationally syndicated afternoon talk series for the past six seasons.

The 2024-25 season of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" averaged 1.2 million viewers per day, showcasing its enduring popularity. The show is filmed in studio 6A at 30 Rockefeller in New York City, with Alex Duda serving as executive producer and showrunner and Clarkson also holding an executive producer role.

"Kelly Clarkson is a national treasure," Tracie Wilson, evp, syndication studios and E! News at NBCUniversal, said in a statement. "We couldn't wait to announce another season of The Kelly Clarkson Show, fresh off the top-rated Christmas in Rockefeller Center in which Kelly hosted."

Wilson praised the show's ability to entertain and inspire viewers, describing it as a "shining star" in daytime talk. Valari Staab, chairman of NBCUniversal Local, added that Clarkson and her team have "raised the bar in daytime television," citing its consistent viewership, engaging content, and high production quality.

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" has received critical acclaim since its launch in 2019, earning 22 Daytime Emmys, including multiple wins for best talk series and best talk series host. It has also garnered nominations for prestigious awards such as the Critic's Choice, GLAAD Media Awards, MTV Movie + TV Awards, and the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild Awards.

Clarkson's commitment to inclusivity and mental health has been a focus for the show, particularly since addressing toxic allegations in 2023. "How do we fix this? How do we be better and better examples?" she said at the time. "So we're already doing that, and adding on to what we already had planned initially, just to make sure everybody feels included and a part of the team."

The renewal for a seventh season marks a departure from previous years when the show was renewed for two seasons at a time. "The Kelly Clarkson Show" continues to dominate key demos locally, with double-digit percentage increases among women 25-54 in major markets across the country. It airs in over 200 local stations nationwide, distributed by NBCUniversal Syndication Studios.
