The heavy metal band has wrapped up their 2024 live schedule with their annual Helping Hands concert, a benefit for their All Within My Hands foundation.

AceShowbiz - Metallica's Helping Hands concert has become a fixture on the band's calendar, raising millions of dollars for local communities. This year's event took place on December 13 at the Inglewood, California YouTube Theater, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
The concert featured two sets: an acoustic set and an electric set. The acoustic set kicked off with a five-song set, including the first live performance of "Low Man's Lyric" since 1998 and covers of Diamond Head's "Helpless" and Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "Away From Home."
The electric set featured a mix of classics and deep cuts, including "The Unforgiven II", which hadn't been played live since 2015. Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament joined the band for a performance of "Hit the Lights".
Some of the highlights from the acoustic set included the first acoustic performance of "If Darkness Had a Son" from last year's "72 Seasons" and a rendition of "Nothing Else Matters" with a string section. The electric set also included performances of "Orion", "Until It Sleeps" and "Screaming Suicide."
The concert concluded with a rousing rendition of "Master of Puppets". The event will be uploaded to YouTube for streaming on December 19.
Metallica's Helping Hands foundation aims to "assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band for years." The foundation has raised over $1.3 million in previous years, and the proceeds from this year's concert will be announced in the new year.
