AceShowbiz - Jay-Z remains brazen amid his ongoing legal battle. The rapper has been spotted for the first time since he's named in a rape lawsuit, attending the premiere of "Mufasa: The Lion King" in Los Angeles with his family.
The hip-hop mogul made a rare family outing with his wife Beyonce Knowles, daughter Blue Ivy and mother-in-law Tina Knowles at the event held on Monday, December 9. The Carters put on a united front, posing on the red carpet together after Jay-Z is hit with the civil lawsuit.
Jay-Z was all smiles and flashing two V signs while posing for the camera. He rocked a brown suit on top of a white button-up shirt and a black tie. The 55-year-old also appeared to have a fun conversation with his family.
Beyonce and her daughter went color-coordinated in gold dresses. The R&B diva stood out in her strapless gown with a cut-out on the chest. Blue Ivy, meanwhile, kept it age-appropriate in her metallic ball gown with a floor-sweeping skirt. As for Tina, she opted for a black dress with a big belt that cinched her waist.
The Carters' public appearance at the premiere comes just a day after Jay-Z is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 in an amended lawsuit filed on Sunday. The Roc Nation founder quickly denied the "heinous" allegations, calling them "blackmail attempt."
Jay-Z has since filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the "cynical and calculated" rape lawsuit filed by Jane Doe or for the woman to reveal her identity "immediately" to the public. In response to the motion, Tony Buzbee, who represents the woman, said in a statement to Page Six, "Sending a basic litigation demand letter and then filing a lawsuit isn't extortion or blackmail. That's the legal practice."
