The Grammy Award-winning pop star's two-year-long 'The Eras Tour' has come to an end in Vancouver, British Columbia, after a record-breaking, two-year-long run.

AceShowbiz - As the curtains close on the legendary "Eras Tour", Taylor Swift's journey across five continents wraps up after an extraordinary 149 shows, leaving behind a legacy that reshaped the concert industry and brought joy to millions of fans.

Swift opened up about her decision to keep extending her record-breaking "Eras Tour" ahead of her final show while taking the stage at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday. Despite the taxing schedule, the pop star couldn't help but savor every moment with her devoted audience.

"This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful, and wonderful tour I have ever done, and that's all because of the way that you have treated it," she told the sold-out crowd. "There's a reason why this is my longest tour I've ever done. I've never played this many shows on a tour before, and it's just cause I really never wanted it to end, because you guys have made it into such a wonderful experience for all of us on stage."

Reflecting on the journey, Swift described it as a three-year project that involved meticulous planning, rehearsals and an exhilarating series of shows spanning almost two years. The tour featured 149 concerts in 53 cities across five continents, grossing an estimated $2 billion and impacting local economies by over $10 billion. It's a feat that surpasses Elton John's 330-show "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour", making it the highest-grossing tour in history.

Fans, affectionately known as Swifties, played a significant part in the success of the "Eras Tour". Swift lauded her fans for initiating unique traditions like making and trading friendship bracelets. "I wrote one line in a song that mentions 'make the friendship bracelets,' and I show up to the first show of the 'Eras Tour', and you guys made friendship bracelets, you're trading friendship bracelets, you're making friends, and now I feel like, friendship bracelets, you've kinda made that idea synonymous with the 'Eras Tour'," she said.

The final leg of the tour in Vancouver saw tremendous engagement, drawing about 160,000 attendees with 70% traveling from outside the greater Vancouver area. Chris May, general manager of BC Place Stadium, likened the organizational efforts to hosting events as significant as the Olympics and the Women's World Cup of Soccer. Vancouver's tourism office estimates the final dates of Swift's tour boosted the city’s economy by $112 million.

As Swift plans an extended break from the spotlight to rest and spend time with her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, and her family, she expressed her immense gratitude to her fans for making the tour such a memorable experience. "When I look at this crowd, I think about how incredibly happy and fortunate we are to spend our last weekend here in Vancouver," she shared.

Though the "Eras Tour" has concluded, the impact of Taylor Swift's sensational performances and her special connection with fans will linger, marking a historic chapter in both her career and the concert industry.
