Tatum plays real-life thief Jeffrey Manchester in the film, who became known as the "Roofman" after breaking into companies like McDonald's and Toy R Us by drilling through their roofs. The heist film, set for release in 2025, also stars Peter Dinklage, Juno Temple, Kirsten Dunst, and others.

Over the years, Tatum has often kept his tattoos concealed on red carpets and in film roles. However, he has occasionally provided glimpses of his body art. Prior to his split from Zoe Kravitz in October, he was spotted with her initials "ZK" inked on his left hand (it is unclear if it was permanent or hand-drawn).
