AceShowbiz - Emma Dumont is now Nick Dummont. The actor, who starred as Jackie Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's 2023 biographical thriller "Oppenheimer", has come out as trans masculine and non-binary.

Nick made the revelation via their Instagram account on Thursday, December 5, changing their bio to add in "they/them" pronouns instead of "she/her." They also revealed the new name their family is calling them by.

Confirming the name change, a representative for Emma said in a statement with TMZ, "They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person." The rep explained, "Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family."

A trans masculine non-binary person is someone who identifies as non-binary but leans more towards a masculine gender expression. The star, born Emma Noelle Roberts, has not publicly addressed their coming out, but their latest Instagram posts hinted a significant shift from their glamorous red carpet image.

In May, Nick debuted a bold, short, choppy haircut, a departure from their usual long, straight hair. They has also embraced a more casual style, as seen in their latest post uploaded on Monday, where they rocked T-shirts and sunglasses. "Boggs Season," the caption read, added with a blue cap emoji.

Nick's career has taken off in recent years after scoring roles in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Licorice Pizza" and Marvel's TV series "The Gifted". They were also known for their roles on ABC Family's series "Bunheads" and NBC's series "Aquarius".

In Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer", Nick starred as Jackie Oppenheimer, the sister-in-law of theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy). They previously shared the screen with Rumer Willis in 2019's thriller "What Lies Ahead".

Nick is next set to star in the horror film "New Me" as Andriana. No release date is set for the film just yet.
